You are able to upload educational material (e.g., rotation objectives, PowerPoint presentations, lecture notes, web links) as a handout or a link. You can attach these to your program, sites, or specific rotations, and residents, students and faculty can download them directly from their eDossiers. These objects are displayed in-line with their associated rotations on each learner's schedule, removing the need for hard copies.
To add a handout and link:
1 Click the Setup tab.
2 Click the Handouts & Links link.
3 Click the Program, Site or Rotation tab, depending on where you want to attach the object (in this example, we will attach the handout to a rotation).

4 Scroll down until you see the name of the rotation (e.g., SPH Rheum). Click "add object."

5 Enter the object details in the corresponding fields.
| Field | Field Type | Description | Example | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | title | text | short name to describe the object | CTU Objectives |
| 2 | object address or upload object | text or file chooser | you can link to an object that already exists on another website, or you can upload an object from your computer | |
| 3 | object type | pull-down menu | a category that describes the type of object | lecture note, objectives |
| 4 | object format | pull-down menu | the electronic format of the object | PDF, text file |
| 5 | annotation | text | short description or note attached to the object (seen by learners and faculty) | "read before first day" |
| 6 | user note | text | administrative note seen only by administrators | "update for next year" |
6 Click the Ok button. Learners who are scheduled to take that rotation (Rheumatology SPH) can now access the handout you've added by opening the Schedule tab in their eDossier. The object appears in line with its associated rotation.

Learners can also access handouts by clicking the Handouts & Links tab in their eDossier. When they do this, they can access all the handouts and links that have been added to the system, not just those that are associated with the rotations they are scheduled for. Also, they can access objects that are associated with specific sites or programs.
Faculty members who are in your Rolodex can also access the handouts and links you add to the system. They can do this by clicking the Handouts & Links tab in their own eDossiers.
| One45 is not intended to be a complete learning object repository. It is meant to provide a simple way to link rotations with original learning objects instead of copies. In this manner, the problems associated with versioning and updating documents are avoided. If the objects already exist elsewhere on the web you can link directly to them, and if they do not exist elsewhere you can upload them to the one45 site from your computer. If your handouts reside on a password-protected site, contact us. |
