The Academic and Rounds Schedules

The academic and rounds schedules are used to organize traditional classroom-type sessions (e.g., lectures, seminars, journal clubs, presentations) and student rounds. One example is the "Academic Half-Day Schedule, " which is used by programs that conduct their academic sessions on the same half-day each week.

If your program uses one of these schedules, everyone in your group (i.e., everyone in your Rolodex) will be able to access it. Also, everyone who is scheduled to attend a session or make a presentation will be able to view the schedule through a link in the Schedules tab in their eDossiers.

If you would like to set up an academic or rounds schedule, contact us.

To view the academic or rounds schedule for your program:

1 Click the Schedules tab.

2 Click the appropriate schedule under the Academic Session header.

You can use the calendar on the left to quickly see which days have events scheduled. These are represented by the coloured flags. When you click on a particular day in the calendar, summaries of the events that are scheduled for that day appear on the right (by default, when you first open the schedule the events that are planned for today's date appear).

When you click the Month tab, a list of the events that are scheduled for that month appears. You can view lists for other months by clicking the arrows on either side of the current month.

Under the Attendance tab, you can track the attendance results for each event. To learn more, click here.

When you click the Evaln tab, a list of the evaluations associated with each event appears. Each evaluation has a progress bar associated with it. This makes it easy to tell at-a-glance which evaluations have been completed by all attendees and which have not. You can see the results of a particular evaluation (even if it is still incomplete) by clicking "view results."

If you click "lists" under the Prefs tab, you can view and edit your lists of event templates, categories, locations and flag colors.

If you click "settings" under the Prefs tab, you can change the name of your schedule, make the schedule subscribable (i.e., allow individuals from other groups to access it), change the way your attendance is recorded (event-based or day-based) and choose which individuals are allowed to edit the schedule.

You can schedule a new event by clicking "new" on the far right. A New tab opens in which you can enter the event details. To learn more about scheduling new events, click here.
